Car maker is one of five bidders for struggling coachbuilder

Fiat has made a non-binding offer to buy struggling Italian contract manufacturer Carrozzeria Bertone.

The other bidders include Italian entrepreneur Gianmario Rossignolo, Chinese car maker FAW Group Corp and an unnamed Spanish consortium.

The deadline to make bids for Bertone is 16 July.

Italian bankruptcy court administrators plan to name the winning bidder by the end of the month.
