This is the first teaser image of the BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics concept that will be unveiled at next month's Frankfurt motor show.

The BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics concept is being launched to show BMW's vision of a sustainable sports car.

The image was revealed in a video, which shows driving images from the front bumper of the car, ensuring the car is never actually seen until this final shot.

The photo is believed to show a corner of the rear of the car, with the red brake light surrounded by sculpted bodywork. The full unveil is expected to take place on August 30.

Shrouded spy photos purporting to be of the concept were snapped earlier this month and can be seen in our picture gallery. However, BMW insists they show an old design study.
