Good to see a Renault production car finally get the full Laurens van den Acker treatment.
Over the past 12 months, we've seen a host of handsome and innovative concepts - DeZir, Captur, R-Space and Frendzy - but unfortunately none of the design ideas have yet made it into production.
That's until Renault gave the Twingo a comprehensive makeover at Frankfurt today.
To my eyes, the city car now has the chic French appeal it so badly lacked before. What's most intriguing, though, is seeing what small production car Renault does next - the Clio.
I can't help but think that all the Renault concepts (and there are another three on there way) lead towards the Clio, a car that so badly lost its way design wise in its current iteration.
The concept process may be getting a bit tedious, but if the end result - a new Clio - looks as good as the concepts and Twingo suggest, then it'll have been worth the wait.
