90-second verdict

The Mercedes C-class coupe is a welcome arrival from Mercedes to rival the well-established BMW 3-series coupe. Tested here in mid-spec diesel form, the car is refined and well-balanced when pushed. It's also cheaper and cleaner than the BMW, so things are looking good. Here, Jamie Corstorphine puts it to the test in our quick fire review.

The Mercedes C-Class Coupe is a conservatively smart compact coupe. Smile The engine range has something for everybody, and the car comes stocked with lots of luxury and safety kit. Smile
