The range-topping 542bhp Jaguar XKR-S is significantly faster, more poised and more aggressively styled than the standard XKR. And with a near £100k asking price a bold move by Jaguar to really up the stakes. But how good is it when driven on the limit? Here, Jamie Corstorphine finds out.

The Jaguar XK has GT refinement, sports car sharpness and great looks. Smile It's roomy in the front and the engines sound fabulous. However, This model is expensive to buy and run. Plus, the rear seats are useless, so it's effectively a two-seater. Sad
