Mayor calls for urgent action after 2020 prediction

Rush hour traffic in the Los Angeles area will slow to a 7mph crawl by 2020, according to the city’s mayor. As a result of the predicted congestion, Antonio Villaraigosa says the only way to prevent chaos on LA's roads is to accelerate plans for new underground and overground railways, bringing the completion dates forward by as much as 20 years.Los Angeles voters appear to agree with the Mayor, voting last year for a half of one percent increase in the local sales tax to help fund the projects.According to US traffic information provider INRIX, the Los Angeles areashas the worst taffic congestion in the US, followed by New York, Chicago and Washington.

So this is how a democracy should work. Strange. Here we were hit by a sales tax hike from 72% to 90% - without any public debate or poll. And the extra money isn't going anywhere near traffic issues. Again it goes to settlements and orthodox-Jew brain-wash schools, and the military of course. GREAT!
