Do you speak Micra? You'll need to to understand Nissan's description of its new top-of-the-line Micra.
"The literally named Active Luxury takes classy clubwear as its inspiration teaming elegant pearl and racy copper colour themes," said Nissan. "Outside differentiators include polished 16 inch alloy wheels, chromed headlights and a unique paint shade called Porcelain. It’s a new pearly silver developed by the Colour Group arm of Nissan Design Europe. The alternative is classy Nero Black."
Translation: it's got more chrome and comes in silver or black. The colour was developed by people who develop colours. The seats (wrapped in Alcantara and nappa leather) are grey, with brown streaks along the middle. Even the inside of the glovebox is brown.
We also know that the Active Luxury gets deeper bumpers, side sills and a rear spoiler, as well as front foglights. There's plenty of standard kit, it comes with 1.4 or 1.6 petrol engines, or a 1.5 diesel, and is available in hatchback and C+C bodystyles. Prices start at £10.995.
The Micra Active Luxury is on sale now. And don't worry about having to speak Micra to the salesman – he'll understand the international language of hard cash.
