Mazda has finally confirmed that its all-new compact crossover SUV will be called the Mazda CX-5.
Originally previewed as the Minagi concept at the Geneva motor show in March, the CX-5 will be the first production vehicle to incorporate Mazda’s ‘KODO – Soul of Motion’ design theme and SKYACTIV technologies, including the firm's new-generation engines, transmissions, bodyshell design and chassis engineering.

In production form, the new SUV will make its international debut at this year’s Frankfurt motor show in September.
The UK launch of the Mazda CX-5 has been slated for 2012.
