Skoda's Juho Hanninen leads Day 1 of Rally Russia with his team mate Jan Kopecky in second. Hanninen set fastest times on all of today's 4 stages.
The Fiat Abarth team again were plagued with bad luck as both Basso and Allen experienced punctures on SS3.
The local driver Aleksandr Zheludov in the only Peugeot 207 S2000 is in sixth after repairs to his ignition which caused the car to run on three cylinders.
Anton Allen returned to the overnight service halt with body damage from the puncture on SS3 and very high engine temperature. His service crew will hopefully sort the problem ready for tomorrow.
Team mate Basso is fourth after his puncture on SS3 promoted Guy Wilks to third in his Proton
