Review

This is the all-new Volkswagen Tiguan, the second-generation of VW's compact SUV. Volkswagen says it "redefines the segment", which is a rather bold claim.

In order to test it, we've driven the Tiguan both on road and off road, to see whether it really can beat the likes of the Nissan Qashqai, Kia Sportage and other small SUVs and crossovers.

Watch the video above to join Alan Taylor-Jones behind the wheel and let us know in the comments below, would the Tiguan be your pick of the class?

Who the Scruffy reviewer

Where do you get you reviewers from? He looked like an unemployed yob!
Why was the Tiguan not tried over wet and muddy surfaces. Those it had to deal with in the review were a doddle for most vehicles anyway of the SUV ilk

That jacket!

Please realise that this is no longer written journalism and that you're being filmed; that jacket! May I suggest a more neutral garment next time around so that we can focus on the task at hand (and not have this being the talking point)?
Sorry, I'm normally reserved about personal choices, but jeez, this one was unpassable ;-)
