This week's cover car is the remarkable new Land Rover Vision Concept, which points the way for the designs and technologies that we'll see in the upcoming Discovery range.

Does its softer styling and increased luxury mean the end of the Discovery's typically rugged nature? Not if Land Rover is to believed, as the concept showcases myriad new technologies to bolster its off-road abilities, including a 'see-through bonnet' to enable drivers to view particularly tough terrain.

Other highlights in the magazine this week include the debut of the dramatic Peugeot Exalt concept. Andrew Frankel also compares old and new with a twin test of the rorty Alfa 4C against the old-school Giulia Sprint GTA.

Meanwhile, Autocar's road testers have been pitching the Mercedes-Benz GLA against the Audi Q3 and Nissan Qashqai to find out which is the king of the compact SUVs.

We've first drives on the new Subaru WRX STI, Jeep Cherokee and Porsche Panamera Turbo S, while the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is the focus of this week's comprehensive road test.
