This week the big news story was the unveiling of the Mini Coupé Concept - and now you can see it on video.

BMW is calling the Mini Coupe Concept a "pocket Porsche", and despite its concept billing it's clear that Mini is hoping to bring the car to market in two to three years’ time as a rival for the Audi TT and forthcoming Peugeot RCZ.

Wasn't the whole point of the new Mini and all hot hatches that they replace coupes and offer a slightly more practical alternative. I think Mini is slightly contradicting themselves and I don't think anyone really cares now - like all fashion accesories, they have to die out sometime.

You can only stretch a brand so far. I think this will sell but only if it is priced well below the TT.
