Paolo Pininfarina replaces his brother

Pininfarina has named Paolo Pininfarina the new chairman of its board of directors.Paolo replaces his brother, Andrea Pininfarina, who was CEO of the famous Italian design house until he was tragically killed in a road accident last week.Paolo Pininfarina was elected to the new position by a unanimous vote from the company’s board, and his sister, Lorenza Pininfarina, was also promoted to provisional deputy chairperson. In response to the company’s decision, Paolo Pininfarina said, “As a strong sign of continuity that dates back 75 years our family has assumed full, direct responsibility. I am committed to ensuring that the development plan defined by my brother is implemented with the goal of strengthening every component of our company.”
