Honda launches Black and White CR-Vs, Porsche on target to hit 200k sales target in 2015, Renault's new twin-turbo diesel, Skoda sales rise

New Black and White Edition variants of the Honda CR-V are available now, priced from £28,400. Both models get new 19-inch wheels and upgraded exterior trim, while equipment including dual-zone climate control, parking sensors and satellite navigation features inside.

Porsche will sell more than 200,000 cars for the first time next year, according to boss Matthias Müller. The company’s original target was to hit 200,000 units by 2018. Key to that success will be the new Macan SUV, with 50,000 examples planned to be built this year.

Renault has revealed a new 1.6-litre twin-turbocharged diesel engine. The French firm says the new powerplant, which delivers 158bhp and 280lb ft of torque, is the first of its kind. Renault will use the engine to power its larger D- and E-segment vehicles.

Skoda delivered 80,900 cars globally in January, a rise of 16.5 per cent on last year. Sales for the Czech firm were up by 2.3 per cent in China, while sales in Western Europe jumped by 40 per cent.

The UK made a total of 128,620 cars last month, a slight decrease on the year before. Latest manufacturing data shows the export market continues to rise, with 103,381 cars, over 80 per cent of total output, heading overseas last month.
