Not pleased this morning about the news that the Formula One coverage on the BBC will be slashed by half from 2012 to 2018.
Under a new rights deal, Sky Sports will broadcast every race live, including practice and qualifying, with the BBC only eligible to show half the season’s races, including the British GP, Monaco GP and the last race of the season.
Which means that I’m likely to miss out on half of the action as I don’t currently subscribe to, nor do I intend to, subscribe to Sky Sports.
F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone told BBC Sport: "It's super for F1. It will mean a lot more coverage for the sport.
"There'll be highlights as well as live coverage on two different networks now, so we get the best of both worlds," but I disagree.
