I had a quick nose around the new C3 Picasso last night and it’s done nothing to change my view that Citroen is currently making some of the most interesting cars available.

On the face of it the C3 Picasso is nothing special. Like the Nissan Note, it’s a high-riding hatch with a jacked-up driving position and not that many practicality party tricks. Despite a good ride and a punchy diesel engine, on my quick trip it didn’t seem much more special to drive than its rivals either.

Yet it somehow feels more special than most because Citroen has managed to inject emotion and style into it. Just like the C5 and C4 Picasso, in fact. See a C3 Picasso on the road and (hopefully) you’ll see what I mean.
