With a 217mph-plus top speed, a 0-62mph time of 2.8 seconds and a Nürburgring lap record to its name, the Aventador SVJ is unquestionably fast.

In fact, it's comfortably the fastest Lamborghini on sale today, with 759bhp from a naturally-aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine helping it outpace even the limited-run Centenario.

Those are hugely impressive numbers, but it's the active aerodynamics and four-wheel steering that make it more agile than a V12-powered super-sports car has any right to be, and what makes it purpose-built for smashing lap times - as Matt Prior discovered on a recently-resurfaced Estoril circuit in Portugal.

Tyres

Don't seem up to it but the engine sounds like an old f1 unit.

The grrrrrr factor.....

Best Lamborghini yet?, well, that I guess is devided, from certain angles it look great, ok, the rear valance with the HUGE aero pack is busy it’s also necessary to keep the Car on the Road, so , yes, it’s the best Lamborghini for now.
