VW launches online slot-car game to celebrate launch of new Golf GTi
1 May 2009

To celebrate the imminent launch of the new VW Golf GTi, Volkswagen has launched a free online slot car game called the GTi Project.

The GTi Project has been created from footage taken from a tiny camera mounted on a 1:32 scale Golf GTi, which buzzes around a 30ft by 25ft Scalextric track.

Play the GTi Project

As well as giving you the opportunity to enter a prize draw to run a full-size Golf GTi for a few months, the game places is you on a global leaderboard, and even allows you to start your own online league.

You can crash, but a lab-coated technician will pick the car up and put it back on track.

You can play the game online at www.gtiproject.com
