Colin Goodwin takes some extreme machines for an 18-hour strop
22 August 2007

We already know that the Ariel Atom is a bit quick. Same goes for the Lotus 2-Eleven, Brooke Double R, Caterham R400 and Elfin MS8. But what is this bunch of renegade road-rippers like to drive for 18 hours over both motorway and some of Britain's best B-roads? Watch's latest video, and you'll find out, as a wide-eyed Colin Godwin gets behind the wheel.Even the slowest car here will hit 60mph in a shade over four seconds, while the quickest manages it in less than three. That's about the same performance as a Bugatti Veyron, but for less than a twentieth of the price. Oh yes, and each and every one of these mental machines is fully road legal. You don’t even have to be as mad as Goodwin to drive them (though it helps).Click here to watch the video.
