Cult Ford appears for sale on internet auction site
26 June 2009

The famous silver Ford Capri used in the 1970s/80s crime programme The Professionals has appeared for sale on eBay.

Since its appearance on the cult ITV show, the 3.0 S Capri has been rebuilt and it comes with the VHK 12W number plate seen in the show.

The car has a 12 month MOT, and the engine still “runs fine with no smoke” according to the seller. Although there are a few rust spots, the tartan interior and 14-inch four-spoke alloys remain in good condition, he says.

The Capri also comes with two letters signed by one of the stars of the show, Lewis Collins, to prove its authenticity.

There are still several days to run on the auction, but expect it to go for considerably more than its current £9250 price.
