Autocar's Christmas issue is on sale now, and it's bigger and better than ever

What would you like for Christmas? How about a £5m Volvo, the new Jaguar XF, all the Autocar staff cars, three of the most serious off-roaders available, and a Routemaster bus for the 21st Century?Sounds like quite a lot to ask, but we've packed it all into the 19 January issue of Autocar:

Christmas Road Test:

Volvo Open 70. "The seagoing equivalent of a Le Mans winner. Brilliant, breathtaking severe."

New Jaguar XF:

"This is no featherbed executive chariot; it's a sports saloon in the spirit of the Mk2."

Land Rover takes on Hummer and Jeep:

"Loud, crude, uncomfortable and constructed with the sort of hand-built inexactitude that would have been familiar to the buyer of a '60s sports car."

Return of the Routemaster:

"Bureaucracy killed off London's iconic bus. But we've commissioned a greener model fit for the noughties."

Road Test Year 2007:

All 100 of this year's road tests, including league tables for wet and dry track times, verdicts and testers highlights.

A year in the life of Autocar's fleet:

"Our 18-strong fleet has racked up 250,000 miles this year, so here's what they'd like under the tree on 25 December."
