This is the Lexus IS 250 SR, a new model that Lexus has rolled out in advance of the M3-rivalling V8 IS-F to offer a more sporting look for those on a lower budget.Don’t get too excited though, underneath the body addenda this is the base IS 250, which packs 204bhp from a 2.5-litre V6 and will go from rest to 62mph in 8.1 seconds.Priced at £24,990 in manual guise and £25,800 as an automatic, the IS 250 SR is only £1000 more than the base IS 250, and offers full body kit, 17-inch alloys, and a range of three body colours.Interior additions include aluminium sports pedals, heated front seats, climate control, cruise control, smart keyless entry and black fabric interior. Sales start on 19 May.

Re: Lexus IS 250 gets sports pack
I'm all for "special edtions" and "sports packs", I just prefer a little more horsepower with my "sport packs". However, with nearly 100hp separating the IS250 and IS350 you would think there would be room for a little horsepower boost to the IS250SR. A little cold air intake or free flow exhaust and the IS250 could have a little bump of about 15hp.
I guess the ultimate horsepower boost is the IS-F. It is nice to see Japan have a serious competitor to what the Germans have been doing with the RS-4s, C-class AMGs and of course the great M3.
