Special edition model is launched to tie-in with the new Transformers film

Chevrolet has announced a Transformers special edition of the Camaro.

The special edition Chevrolet Camaro has been designed to coincide with the release of the second Transformers film and it features a range of styling changes, although performance figures remain the same.

Only available in Rally Yellow, the Camaro Transformers features several Autobot logos and Transformers badges, as well as a twin black rally stripes running across the centre of the car.

The US-only package costs $995 (£600) and is available on the LT or SS models.

The LT is powered by a 3.6-litre V6 engine, while the SS gets a 6.2-litre V8, which produces 395bhp.

The Chevrolet Camaro is set to go on sale in the UK in 2010.
