New Mercedes, Mondeo and Fabia get first UK showing at Knockhill

Want to be among the first to get a proper look at the new Mercedes-Benz C-class? Better head to Motor Fair, dubbed the Official Scottish motor show, and at Knockhill racing circuit from 12-13 May.

The Scottish motor show is the first time that the all-new C-class will have been shown in the UK; we won't even get to drive it in the UK until June.

It's not the only car getting its first proper UK showing north of the border, either. Knockhill will also play host to the new Peugeot 207 GTi, Ford Mondeo and Skoda Fabia. You'll be able to see the Chevrolet Captiva in the metal, too.

If all that doesn't excite, there will the chance to take passenger rides on an off-road in Jeeps and Land Rovers, and a Renault skid-pan car.

We also reckon that the drifting display should prove pretty entertaining, led as it is by a 450bhp four-wheel drive Cosworth-powered Ford Focus.

The Ford Mondeo is a fine car in most areas. The family hatch is still a class leader even as its replacement nears
