Autocar's £100 a week heroes tells you how to make your supercar dreams real
22 March 2005

This week, Autocar's £100 a week heroes tells you how to make your supercar dreams real. Over 22 pages, we've assembled eleven of the world's greatest cars, including Lotus' iconic Esprit, Aston Martin's gorgeous DB7, Maserati's charismatic 3200 GT and Nissan's butch Skyline R34 GT-R. It's what all of these cars have in common that makes them so attractive right now, however; every one, from Ferrari's 348 to BMW's M5, can be yours for just £100 a week.

So which will you go for? Aston Martin's DB7 - 'the most beautiful supercar of the late 20th century' according to Andrew Frankel? 'The definitive sports saloon of the past decade' - which, says Chris Harris, is BMW's E39 M5? 'The ultimate evolution of the world's most fabled and enduring sports car' - Porsche's 993-series 911 Carrera? With £100 a week as your budget, you could take your pick (see gallery).

'Scrimp, save, change you financial priorities but keep your focus,' writes editor in chief Steve Cropley. 'Find £100 a week. Then one of these amazing cars can be yours.'

'Boldness brings genius, power and magic,' he goes on. 'Goethe said that 250 years ago, and almost certainly not about the acquisition of a second-hand Porsche 911. Germany's Shakespeare never had that opportunity, poor chap. But you do. Don't let it slide by.'
