Ingolstadt's Geneva unveiling is revealed online two weeks ahead of schedule
20 February 2007

Audi didn't want you to see it for another two weeks, but nevertheless this is the finished Audi A5 coupe, revealed in all its glory. These photos appeared on several underground motoring blog websites overnight, and show the new Audi coupe from various exterior angles. Check out our gallery to see all of them. They show that the A5 will take many of its styling cues from the new TT coupe, but it's set apart by flowing, curved shoulder and swage lines that are much less rigidly geometric than those that characterise current Audis. The pictures also expose the A5's finished cabin. Here its styling is less of a departure for the brand; its features the same framed, driver-oriented fascia as the A6, but Audi's 'MMI' multi-media controller has been moved from the centre console up to the dash. The origins of the leak are unknown. It's possible that the photos were taken for marketing purposes and leaked by a disgruntled employee or sub-contractor, but we've got suspicions that they're actually taken from Audi's A5 microsite, which was probably cracked by a hacker, and its contents exposed ahead of schedule. The Audi A5 will be officially unveiled on March 6th at the Geneva motor show, when further details on the car will be announced.
