Special editions and new engines for Fiat, Chevrolet and Jeep models

Startech has revaled a new wide-bodied version of the new Range Rover. Making its debut at the Frankfurt motor show, the model features a new, more aggressive body kit as well as new light clusters for the LED DRLs. A performance kit for the car's 4.4-litre V8 engine is also in development.

Maserati is previewing a luxurious new trim level for its Maserati Quattroporte saloon at Frankfurt with its Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition concept car. Gloss black and metal trims feature, as does soft leather for the interior and a special paint finish.

Chrysler/Lancia’s main Frankfurt offering is a revised version of the Delta, ahead of sales starting in 2014. There are detail changes inside and out, including new bumpers. New trims for the Chrysler Ypsilon and Grand Voyager models are also at Frankfurt.

The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Polar Edition will make its debut at the Frankfurt motor show. The limited-run model is finished in Hydra Blue with a black interior and features black accents and a limited-slip rear differential. It will be available with 2.8-litre diesel and 3.6-litre petrol V6 engines.

A special edition Fiat Panda 4x4 "Antarctica" will also feature at the show. It is based on the 4x4 "Rock" trim, and features two-tone bodywork, grey 15in alloy wheels with orange hub caps, orange mirror capping,  bespoke badging and grey and orange upholstery. It is offered with Fiat's 900cc TwinAir engine or its 1.3-litre Multijet diesel.

Another debut, the Chevrolet Spark Bubble edition will feature a new bodykit, alloy wheels and bubble decals. Interior trim panels are finished in the same blue paint as the exterior and leatherette seats and Bluetooth connectivity come as standard.

Fiat will show Multijet II-engined versions of its Fiat 500L, 500L Trekking and 500L Living models in Frankfurt. The new engine option is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Fiat will also announce that the 900cc TwinAir engine will be available across the entire 500 family and will show a 500C GQ special edition and its 500e EV.

Leatherette seats. Is that

Leatherette seats. Is that the same as leather-look vinyl seats that so many basic models had in the 70's?
