Citroen partners with cosmetics firm to create one-off DS3, while Renault gets Chinese approval for its new joint venture with Dongfeng

A new Citroen DS3 concept, created by partnering with Benefit Cosmetics, has been shown. The car, which will be on display at the Clothes Show Live event in Birmingham this month, features bespoke paintwork and painted alloy wheels. The interior has also been trimmed in Italian leather, and features pink detailing throughout.

Skoda will start work on its new rally car next year. The company says development on the successor to its current Fabia Super 2000 will get underway in 2014, and will enter international rally events a year later.

Renault and Dongfeng have been given approval from China's National Development and Reform Commission to go ahead with its joint venture plan. The scheme will result in the creation of a new firm, Dongfeng Renault Automotive Company, and will allow Renault to take advantage of the Chinese market.

Bugatti has sold its 400th Veyron, meaning that just 50 units of the car are still available to order. Bugatti has said that production of the Veyron and its variants would be limited to 450 units. It is unknown if Bugatti has plans to increase its production run.

Colour Scheme

Not neccessarily. Dongfeng have been involved with PSA Peugeot-Citroen for years, the Citroen ZX was a huge seller in China for many years. They're also aligned with Honda, Kia and Nissan - the Renault tie-up is probably an extension of sister company Nissan's involvement - it runs 'Dongfeng Motor Company' 50/50 with Dongfeng, and sells many cars that aren't SUVs(!).
