New Group Lotus F1 car revealed in the Valencia pit lane ahead of its track debut tomorrow
31 January 2011

Lotus Renault GP has revealed its new R31 Formula One car for 2011 in Valencia, ahead of its track debut in tomorrow’s first official winter F1 test.

Renault has teamed up with Group Lotus in a multi-year deal and the car will run this JPS-inspired black and gold livery. The car is the second Renault-powered F1 car with a Lotus name to be revealed today; Group Lotus is still locked in a legal dispute with Team Lotus over the use of the name in F1.

Vitaly Petrov will test the car tomorrow before his team-mate Robert Kubica takes over for the final two days.

The team has also revealed a lengthy list of test and reserve drivers for 2011: Bruno Senna, Romain Grosjean, Jan Charouz, Ho-Ping Tung and Fairuz Fauzy.
