Veritas is planning a coupe version of its outlandish RSIII sports car and a carbonfibre SUV, Autocar can reveal.
A production version of the retro open-cockpit RSIII was unveiled at London’s Salon Prive show and has been completely redesigned since early concepts.
The RSIII is now fitted with the V10 from the current BMW instead of the previous-gen car's V8, and it will be available with either 500bhp or 620bhp.
Veritas will build 30 open-cockpit versions and 30 coupes. The company claims that the speed will be 360kph (224mph) and 60mph will arrive in 3.0sec.
“The car has been completely redesigned; the only thing the same are the wheels,” Veritas’s Michael Trick told Autocar. “The coupe version will have a sloping rear that runs to the back of the car and it is designed for markets like the Middle East, where they need air conditioning.”
