'Three series’. It’s not the most inspiring name for a car. And finding travel inspiration in such a digit is a tricky task, too. But you can find place names with ‘three’ in them.

The car in question is a BMW 320d sprayed a rather alluring Melbourne Red. It rides on optional 18in double-spoke alloy wheels and bears the hallmarks of the new Sport trim pack that first appeared on the latest 1-series.

Seems BMW's PR dept was keen for some long journey-type articles for the new 3-series - similar articles in Evo and on Pistonheads.
