If you’re in the market for a new car, or after the best new-car leasing deal, you can save thousands with a little research. This is the pick of what our deals experts have found this week.

Best new Car Deals 

The 1.0-litre EcoBoost Ford Fiesta offers excellent fuel economy and is a popular choice among UK buyers. The country's best-selling car also comes with impressive handling and a decent interior. GB Car Deals is offering a hot deal on the 1.0 EcoBoost Zetec 3dr, for £11,015, a saving of £2930 from the list price.

The Mazda MX-5 is a firm sports car favourite, offering open-top thrills for a relatively small price. We found the affordable and enjoyable rear-drive convertible in 1.8i SE two door form for £14,832, again over at the GB Car Deals. That’s a huge saving of £3,173 from the list price.

Best new car leasing deals

Audi’s A3 saloon is the firm's first entry into the compact saloon class, and it's a successful debut. We found a deal for £260 per month from Fleet Prices on the Audi A3 Diesel Saloon 2.0 TDI Sport 4dr. That’s on a 24-month contract with a deposit of £1560 and a 10,000 annual mileage limit.

Another Audi again, and this time one of the most popular A6 models. National Vehicle Solutions is offering an Audi A6 2.0 TDI in Ultra SE specification for £280 a month, on a 24-month contract with a deposit of £1,677 and an annual mileage limit of 5,000.

Deal of the Week

The Nissan Qashqai has been a big hit in the UK, known for its excellent build quality, generous levels of equipment and comfort and a smooth ride. Plus, the Acenta Premium model comes with lots of equipment including a panoramic glass roof, a reversing camera, and front and rear parking sensors. UK Car Discount is currently offering a new 1.5dCi model in Acenta Premium trim for £19,701 - a saving of £2,989 from the list price.
