Volvo has launched an R-design variant of the XC60 at the Frankfurt show, due to reach the UK in November.
The Volvo XC60 R-design has a tuned chassis to offer a more sporty drive and sharper driving characteristics. Volvo claims its changes have made the handling more dynamic and the styling more distinctive.

Dynamic changes include a quicker steering rack and stiffer dampers, while its ride height remains the same.
A range of exterior and interior styling changes have been made. These include twin chrome tailpipes, aluminium sills, a new metal grille, metal door mirror housings and 18-inch alloy wheels. 20-inch Cratus alloy wheels are an option.
Inside, the XC60 R-design gets new sports seats, unique leather upholstery, aluminium pedals, new dials, and a leather steering wheel and gear shift.
Volvo has yet to confirm any prices for the new model, but expect it to cost from £30,000 when it goes on sale.
