Rolls-Royce's £300k drop-top touches down in Geneva

The latest model in Rolls-Royce's small but exclusive line-up makes its European debut at Geneva this week.

Significantly more elegant in appearance than name, the Phantom Drophead Coupe is already proving a success, with this year's production fully allocated and only a few more cars available in 2008.

Powered by the same 6.75-litre V12 as its hard-top sibling, which gives a claimed 0-60mph time of 5.7 seconds, the Drophead will set you back £47,000 more at £305,500.

What’s more, that's before you've added the optional brushed steel bonnet and teak 'rear deck' that no self-respecting Phantom Drophead owner would be without, and which will set you back an extra £12,000. Either way, there are few better (or more expensive) ways to get your chauffeur a tan.
