New special edition, plus option of Kevlar speakers

It’s only been on sale for six months, but Jaguar’s already made a special-edition version of its range-topping XKR coupe and convertible.

The new XKR Portfolio comes only in Celestial Black paint, along with special 20-inch polished alloy wheels, and polished aluminium side vents.

Inside, there’s soft-grain leather upholstery with contrasting stitching, and the new option of ‘Engine-Spun aluminium’ veneer trim or the usual wood.

The Portfolio also marks the introduction of a new, specially developed Bowers & Wilkins speaker system for the XKR. Matched to the car’s 525w stereo system, the speaker cones are made from Kevlar.

The XKR Portfolio, which is on Jaguar’s Geneva motor show stand, is on sale later in March for delivery in the summer.
