Toyota's Invincible Land Cruiser gets £2500 of extra kit for £500 premium

Toyota's latest special edition Land Cruiser SUV clearly isn't a bird or a plane, but it does have a name worthy of the caped crusader. It's called the Land Cruiser Invincible – and that's not all that makes it super (yawn).Based on the range-topping, eight-seater 3.0-litre D-4D LC5 model, the Invincible gets £2500 of extra equipment, including a DVD-player with two headrest-mounted screens, satellite navigation and heated front seats. But you'll pay only £38,495 for this option-packed behemoth – just £500 more than the LC5. Holy heavy-loaded equipment lists, Batman! (groan)So can it drive up walls or vault buildings in a single bound? With only 173bhp under the bonnet, almost certainly not. The best you could hope for is that, capable of 108mph, it might just be faster than a speeding train. Assuming you pick the right train.
