Personalised plate sells for £10,690

The personalised registration plate ‘THE 57IG’ has sold for a massive £10,690 at a DVLA auction.

Rick Fusari paid more than 26 times the £400 reserve for the plate, which attracted the interest of more than a dozen bidders thanks to its link to Top Gear’s famous racing driver.

All that’s left for Fusari to do is decide which of his Ferraris to put the plate on, and buy a white helmet.

Surely the number plate is illegally spaced and the G must be apart from the numbers. As soon as a police car camera spots it, it will flag it and they will recieve 3 penalty points.
