Panamera will go to Shanghai show

The Porsche Panamera will make its public debut at the Shanghai motor show, Porsche has confirmed. The Chinese motor show runs from 20 to 29 April.

The four-door Panamera is due on sale at the end of summer 2009.

It will initially be available with a naturally aspirated or turbocharged V8, coupled to a six-speed manual or a seven-speed twin-clutch PDK transmission.

Launch dates for the lower-powered V6 and frugal hybrid versions have not been announced.
