Volvo has unveiled a range of mid-life revisions for the Volvo S80 executive saloon.
As well as introducing the 1.6-litre turbodiesel-powered DRIVe model, Volvo is also revising the S80's two five-cylinder turbodiesel engines.

The twin-turbo D5 now has 202bhp and 310lb ft of torque, up from 182bhp and 285lb ft, while CO2 emissions have dropped by 5g/km to 164g/km.
The single-turbo S80 2.4D now gets the new 173bhp, 310lb ft version of the 2400cc five-cylinder turbodiesel that is also due to be introduced in the two-wheel-drive DRIVe variants of the Volvo XC60 and XC70. The new Volvo S80 2.4D manages 48.7mpg on the combined cycle, with CO2 emissions of 154g/km (the outgoing model returned 44.1mpg and 169g/km).
Visual changes include a larger grille badge, and new chrome highlights on the front air intakes, tail-lights and door sills.
Inside, the revised Volvo S80 gets subtle tweaks to the interior trim and centre console, as well as a new steering wheel design.
