Silverstone-based firm went bust last July having not delivered a single example of its £350,000 '67 EV

Charge Cars, the British maker of a 1967 Ford Mustang electromod, has been revived more than six months after it collapsed.

The West Drayton-based firm has been saved by a consortium of unnamed private investors, who plan to get the ‘67 EV ready for deliveries and invest in a new state-of-the-art headquarters in Silverstone.

Gosh. a company vandalising an iconic V8 and charging £350k can't find customers and goes broke! Well, who would have thought that could happen? Feel sorry for the guys who ran it - and especially all investors and creditors - but really what a dumb idea this was. I expect many more of these "let's take a classic car, remove it's heart and replace it with an anonymous battery powered silent lump" operators to follow suit. Also can't help feeling that brainwashed journos who have raved about this nonsense should bear some of the blame. Maybe a whip around at the next GMW events?
