Lamborghini has reacted to the threat posed by Ferrari’s new F430 by developing a ‘track pack’ for its Gallardo. Aimed at reducing the car’s tendency to understeer, the pack consists of ultra-sticky Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres, a new sports suspension option and a new steering pump oil cooler, recognising the fact that the pump oil can boil during heavy use.Although the development doesn’t include any performance upgrades, insiders have revealed that the company is also working on upping the V10’s power from its current 492bhp.
