China show: BYD follows fashion
21 November 2006

This might look familiar: Mercedes-Benz CLK front and headlights, Mégane CC rear and a BMW-inspired blue-and-white badge.

Unsurprisingly, the buzz surrounding the BYD stand at the Chinese motor show in Beijing was the possibility of lawsuits.

BYD, however, was adamant that it will begin selling the F8 in 2007. This two-plus-two features a 2.0-litre 130bhp in-line four sufficient for a claimed 14sec 0-60 and a 112mph top speed.Greg Kable
