Nissan is dropping more hints about its Almera replacement with this official sketch of the Qashqai concept car, to be revealed at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.

Curiously named after a tribe of migratory herders in Iran, the concept illustrates current Nissan thinking for its next-generation Golf and Focus rival. Expect it to eschew a traditional hatchback design in favour of a crossover blending characteristics of SUVs and MPVs. The four-wheel-drive Qashqai is the first finished car to come out of London’s new Nissan Design Europe studio.
