Interior equipment includes a new satellite navigation system, a multifunction steering wheel and full iPod connectivity. Front and rear parking sensors with a sensor-controlled steering aid package also feature on the spec list.

Exterior kit includes 16-inch alloy wheels, a matt-finished front grille, smoked lens covers for the front and rear lights, and tinted glass in the rear windows and rear windscreen.

Standard equipment remaining from the SE includes ABS, ESP, front, side and curtain airbags, air conditioning and cruise control.

The Touran Match is available with VW’s 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine, a 1.9-litre TDI unit or the 2.0-litre TDI common-rail diesel in two states of tune. The 2.0-litre TDI is available with VW’s six-speed DSG transmission. The most efficient motor in the range is the 1.9-litre TDI, which can achieve 52.3mpg in BlueMotion guise.

Prices start at £19,515 for the Touran Match and it is available to order now.
