Prius joins Monopoly line-up
14 September 2006

Forget the terrier dog and ungainly boot - the new generation of Monopoly players will use a Toyota Prius to pass GO and collect $200.Toyota's hybrid is one of the new player tokens in the latest version of the classic board game. Called the 'Here & Now' edition, it features new pieces and a revised board based on three million votes from the American public. The Prius thus replaces the '30s roadster and joins a New Balance trainer, a laptop computer, a Motorola mobile phone and, bizarrely, a packet of McDonalds' french fries in the line-up.

No word yet, though, on whether the car will be able to get round the entire board without resorting to petrol power...
