World champion leads McLaren one-two in free practice

Lewis Hamilton topped the time sheets in second free practice for Sunday’s Hungarian grand prix.

The McLaren driver led home his team mate Heikki Kovalainen, who had finished top in the first practice session.

On a hot day in Hungary, Nico Rosberg was the driver who got closest to the McLarens, while world championship leader Jenson Button could only manage 13th in the Brawn.

Nurburgring winner Mark Webber was fourth fastest, with Sebastian Vettel sixth in the sister Red Bull car.

Button’s Brawn team mate Rubens Barrichello managed seventh but the Ferraris of Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa were 11th and 18th respectively.
