Regular Autocar.co.uk users will have noticed disruption to our regular service over the last week. This has affected both the editorial content and the popular forum section.
Over a dozen IT technicians are now working to resolve the problem, which is centred on the database that sits behind the entire site. Microsoft engineers are also being consulted.
It is hoped that the problem will be resolved shortly. In the meantime, we thank you for your patience.

Engineers resolved the database problem at around 7pm yesterday evening. Our normal news and road test service is resumed, and while a few posts were lost in the recovery process, the Autocar forums are now working normally.
