As if life for its open-top competitors wasn’t already difficult enough, the most popular roadster in the world is now available for less than £12,000. Showroom4cars.com is currently offering left-hand-drive 1.6-litre Mazda MX-5s for as little as £11,995, and the more powerful 1.8-litre for £13,195 – a saving of over £2300 on UK forecourt prices. If you want right-hand drive, UK dealerships will knock up to £1500 off list price on both 1.6- and 1.8-litre models.
