The best new car deals and new car leasing deals for this week, including offers on the VW Tiguan, Mercedes M-class and SLK, Kia Picanto and Mazda MX-5

If you’re in the market for a new car, or after the best new car leasing deal, you can save thousands with a little research. This is the pick of what our deals experts have found this week.

Best new car deals

When we last tested the Volkswagen Tiguan we liked its rugged construction and geniune off-road ability. Despite being one of VW’s best sellers, dealers are still offering massive savings online. We found a popular 2.0-litre TDi Bluemotion Tech Match model on Orange Wheels which can be picked up with the more efficient DSG gearbox for just £25,905, representing a saving of £3,105 over the list price.

For a luxurious and well-equipped SUV which is also economical, the third-generation Mercedes M-class is a top contender. Though finding one cheap may not be easy, a little searching can turn up potentially big savings. Car-Cost is offering the ML350 CDI model for £41,995, a significant £5,570 less than the list price.

Best new car leasing deals

The current Kia Picanto city car has been with us since 2011, but in that time has become a popular choice for drivers seeking a practical run-about that’s cheap to run. The entry level 1.0-litre can be leased from Fleet Prices for £106.96 per-month under a four-year contract. Annual mileage is limited to 10,000 miles, but with an initial payment of just £962.68, it at least represents a decent bargain.

With spring fast approaching Mercedes' SLK convertible is a good roadster to own. Requiring just £369.65 per month and an initial down-payment of £2,217.90 when leased from Cars2Vans, you can enjoy 10,000 annual miles of open-top motoring over a two-year contract.

Deal of the week

Sticking with the spring theme, the arrival of the sun could make this the perfect time to buy a nimble, well-priced sports car. The iconic Mazda MX-5, which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, would surely be a great choice. The 2.0-litre Sport Venture model can now be picked up from UK Car Discount for just £18,716.50, meaning this drop-top rear-wheel-drive sports car can be yours for a significant £3,923.50 less than the list price.

The Mazda MX-5 is still great fun, and more grown up in its third generation. For pure driving fun, little gets close

I've been looking at buying a new Mazda6...

.... and found some good looking deals on
www.buyacar.co.uk
I spec'd up a Mazda6 2.2d [150] Sport Nav with Metalic paint, Mazda Safety pack and std leather and could save £3896 against the OTR price. They also do free delivery to your home (if you're happy for your new pride and joy to be driven before you) or Transporter delivery incurs a £320charge.
