20 March 2014

If you’re in the market for a new car, or after the best new car leasing deal, you can save thousands with a little research. This is the pick of what our deals experts have found this week.

Best new Car Deals

The Vauxhall Corsa is a refined supermini with a smooth ride, fine handling and a quality interior. New Car Discount is offering a Vauxhall Corsa 1.4-litre SE model for £10,831 which represents a huge saving of £4,990 over the list price.

The Ford Mondeo is a fantastic package that gets all the basics right - comfort, quality and good levels of equipment. We found a 2.0-litre diesel 163 Titanium X sport for £20,759, again over at New Car Discount. That's a huge saving of £6,700 over the RRP.

Best new car leasing deals

Hyundai's i10 is a great example of a city car being well designed and engineered. It offers generous equipment levels, value for money and decent handling. We found a 1.0-litre S 5dr model from Hyundai Torbay for £136.29 per month, with an initial payment of £408.87.That's on a two-year contract with an annual limit of 10,000 miles.

The Suzuki Swift Sport is an affordable supermini that offers decent handling on the motorway and around town. Over on Fresh Leasing, you can pay £237.80 each month for four years on top of the £713.40 initial payment. There is also an annual limit of 10,000 miles.

Deal of the Week

Jaguar's XF showed up its premium rivals by offering some great driving dynamics and a truly special interior. If you fancy an XF and like to go fast, we found a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 XFR on Car-cost that sees its list price tumble from £65,453 to £57,124 - saving you £8,291.

Our Verdict

Suzuki Swift Sport

The Swift Sport is cheap, pretty and chuckable. Only the quality of the Ford Fiesta keeps it from best in class

is £237.80 each month for four years on top of the £713.40 intial payment really such a good deal. That's over £9,100 for a car that's £12,500 to buy outright

If you bought the swift sport on a pcp the payments would be similar with that kind of deposit and you benefit from the difference between the true value of the car over the GFV at the end so I would agree the lease deal does not look great

You can lease a Focus 1.6 TDCi Zetec for 2 years for £135 a month with about £1000 down and a 10,000 mile annual limit. I suspect they're trying to clear stock before the facelifted model comes out but it makes the Swift look very pricey.
